Medicine Museum

Zhangqiu, Jinan, Shandong, China

History

Located in Jinan, Shandong Province, a city rich in historical and cultural heritage, this groundbreaking project marks China's first private large-scale Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) museum. In alignment with the national initiative to "vigorously develop traditional Chinese medicine," this museum is a living testament to TCM's theoretical foundations and historical evolution. It serves as an immersive, walk-in textbook, showcasing the depth of our team's expertise in research, design, and curatorial practices.

Theoretical Basis

Drawing inspiration from classical TCM texts such as the Huangdi Neijing (The Emperor's Inner Classic), Shanghan Lun (Treatise on Febrilism), and Bencao Gangmu (Compendium of Materia Medica), the project harmoniously blends traditional Chinese elements with cutting-edge technology to make TCM knowledge accessible and engaging. The thoughtful layout ensures inclusivity for visitors of all ages, from the elderly to children, providing a seamless and enriching experience. Additionally, the museum integrates commercial elements and connects with the adjoining hotel environment, creating a holistic space that merges education, culture, and hospitality. This project stands as a pioneering effort to celebrate and promote the enduring legacy of traditional Chinese medicine.
